Laminated Horizontal & Laminated Vertical
Styles of Bamboo Flooring

Both forms of bamboo flooring first involve boiling the bamboo then kiln drying the bamboo. The vertical 'style' of bamboo is glued together with the side grains of the bamboo wall facing up. These are glued in strips resulting in an attractive grain effect with thin lines between the strips. This results in flooring that is both harder and more stable to the 'horizontal' flooring. Vertical Bamboo Refined Laminated Flooring



The second style of bamboo the 'horizontal' style involves gluing 3 layers of the strips side by side with the wider surface of the bamboo facing up. This creates and attractive pattern showing the nodal 'rings' of the bamboo across the floors surface giving the appearance of flattened bamboo stalks. See Below.
